About the Position

We are looking for an energetic and engaging professional with a wholehearted desire to contribute to the mission of Focus on the Family Canada. The Project Lead – Focus Famille facilitates the initiatives of Focus on the Family Canada that are directed at helping French-speaking families in Canada, including the quarterly production of a French-language magazine, maintenance of French websites and support of families engaged with the ministry. This role also includes, but is not limited to, project management, compiling content (including the translation of content for the Focus Famille magazine and website), translation for additional Focus on the Family websites (i.e., Kids of Integrity), providing French responses for constituent support, and overall coordination of the Focus Famille ministry.

Key responsibilities

  • Helping with project intake, creating project dockets and hard-copy files; assisting with scheduling and setting milestones.

  • Ensuring jobs meet all quality standards for print/web/electronic production.

  • Assembling printing proofs and obtaining proof approvals from appropriate stakeholders.

  • Ensuring files of finished projects are stored in proper dockets; archiving and filing projects when completed.

  • Monitoring project process and handling any issues that arise.

  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports.

  • Managing the Focus Famille budget.

  • Coordinating the implementation of decisions around French-language priorities.


The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating project details and be comfortable taking initiative. You are proficient in MS Office and familiar with Adobe Acrobat and PDF files; experience with other graphic design software would be beneficial. Your ability to demonstrate solid verbal and written communication skills in French and English is important. You can be trusted to complete assignments without constant supervision. Success in this position is dependent upon strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to assist with creative project production in a demanding, deadline-driven environment. Above all, this important role requires an individual who maintains a consistent witness for Jesus Christ and a courteous, Christlike attitude in dealing with people within and outside Focus on the Family Canada by adhering to our Standards of Moral Conduct and Statement of Faith.
