About The Role
Reporting to: Distribution Centre Manager
Do you enjoy balancing amazing customer service and efficient processes? Do people describe you as “engaging” with an “extreme attention to detail”? We are looking for an efficient and energetic Warehouse Operator with a whole-hearted desire to contribute to the mission of Focus on the Family Canada. You should be comfortable multi-tasking, with the ability to maintain a sense of perspective when under pressure and confronted by shifting priorities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Picking and shipping product and resources from our warehouse to our constituents
- Delivering mail and packages internally within the office
- Generating, fulfilling and mailing packing slips, letters, receipts, packages etc.
- Supporting internal departments with their shipping needs
- Receiving shipments and updating inventory software
- Operating and maintaining shipping and mailing equipment and machinery
- Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse
- Operating and maintaining broadcast CD duplication system
- Completing special projects as assigned
As the ideal candidate, you have successfully completed high school. Some post-secondary education would be considered an asset and 3-5 years of prior experience in a warehouse role would be preferred. Computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is required. The ability to multi-task is essential as job responsibilities will be varied and special projects may overlap with day-to-day responsibilities. This position requires the ability to stand and/or walk for the majority of the day, as well as the ability to lift and carry packages (up to 50lbs).
Success in this position is dependent upon strong customer service and attention to detail. The ability to be self-directed, self-motivated and steward time well is essential. Above all, you must be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, and maintain a courteous, Christlike attitude in dealing with people and adhere to our Christian Foundations and Standards.
