About The Role

Reporting to: Senior Vice-president

Do you have a passion for organization? Do you relish research? Parlez-vouz français? We are looking for an engaging and energetic bilingual coordinator with a whole-hearted desire to contribute to the mission of Focus on the Family Canada. This position provides administrative support for three areas of ministry activity, so the ability to multi-task is essential. You should also be able to maintain a sense of perspective when under pressure and confronted by shifting priorities.

                                                                                                                                                    

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating key initiatives for the Senior Vice-president’s office.
  • Coordinating market research projects and other special projects as assigned
  • Performing general office administrative duties as necessary
  • Providing general administrative support for the Creative Services team, including preparing, processing and tracking purchase orders
  • Working with project clients to obtain appropriate approvals
  • Maintaining project archives (digital and physical files)
  • Providing administrative support for the French Ministry team by replying to emails and phone calls from our French-speaking constituents
  • Managing subscription requests and questions about our French magazine, Focus Famille
  • Translating prayer requests from constituents from French to English
  • Managing French social media accounts

 

As the ideal candidate, you have post-secondary training in business, office administration or a related field. Prior experience in an administrative or project coordinator role would be considered an asset. Strong computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is required. The ability to multi-task is essential as job responsibilities will be varied and special projects may overlap with day-to-day responsibilities. Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English are required.

 

Success in this position is dependent upon strong administrative skills and project coordination experience. The ability to be self-directed, self-motivated and steward time well is essential. Above all, you must be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, and maintain a courteous, Christlike attitude in dealing with people and adhere to our Christian Foundations and Standards.
